Hey - sorry I didn’t get back to you right away, work has been insane for me this month (and I’ve been doing a TON of work I don’t normally do so it’s left me drained as all heck). But yeah, I don’t *think* there’s a way to really do exactly that. At the very least because reality would know better and know you weren’t a Sleeper. That being said, I personally might rule it either way depending on the situation or how it was presented to me - because to me mage is about the creativity you can employ, and that’s a creative AF idea even if ”technically” it wouldn’t work.

Thank you very much for replying! Basically I wanted to be able to, for just a second, count as a sleeper witness to amplify paradox against other mages as they work thier magic. Momentarily suppressing your memories if the supernatural is a fairly straightforward mind effect, but I wasnt sure if you could numb or suppress your avatar with prime or spirit or something.

That is a really interesting question, and I suppose it would kind of depend on <why> you wanted to do that. There are a lot of ways to go about it depending on your goal in the particular situation - some are far more complicated and higher level than others, but the gist is that you can’t really become a Sleeper again - even temporarily. You can, however, mask that you’re a mage in a few ways. Probably the ’easiest’ way to achieve what it sounds like you want to achieve would be Mind 2, 3 or 4 (depending on how the ST rules on mind magic affecting one’s self and how exactly one wants to do this - Mind 3 could block the memories (possibly Mind 2 on yourself), mind 4 would change them (possibly Mind 3 on yourself) - and if you actually changed memories and thoughts, there’s a good chance it wouldn’t be temporary, but your avatar would probably just make you Awaken again). The NWO use Mind 3 to brainwash people, so that seems to be roughly similar in this scenario. You’d also want to use Mind 1 or Prime 2 to hide your aura and resonance, or Prime 4 to completely wash it clean of any mage signature. You wouldn’t need Time unless you wanted to delay it to a specific time or trigger you set (such as ’if I’m kidnapped by the Technocracy, this effect will go off and it’ll be harder to tell I’m a mage’ - which is one potential situation I could see this being useful for). I hope that helps! And I hope my rambling about possibilities wasn’t too confusing :)

I’ve got a niche effect question: how many sphere dots would it take to very briefly turn yourself back into a sleeper? Just mind? How much? Do you need prime or time?
